Wine Spectator gave 95 points to our Barolo del Comune di Serralunga d’Alba 2013

A fresh, iron – and sanguine – laced style, balanced by cherry and strawberry notes. Linear and tightly wound, with tar, spice and earth details lining the long aftertaste. Really saturated and vibrant, with a mineral accent echoing on the finish”.
Wine Spectator, the most renowned oenological magazine worldwide, described with such tasting notes our Barolo DOCG del Comune di Serralunga d’Alba 2013, giving it 95 points as a score. This is an important international acknowledgement: it certifies the quality of a team effort, which started at Tenuta Cucco in 2015 and will consolidate with the upcoming vintages, which will count also on organic grapes. This conversion project involves all our vines and started three years ago.
We thank Bruce Sanderson, because he interpreted and described in such a positive way our Barolo Serralunga d’Alba 2013. A stimulus for going on and doing even better, so to enhance this terroir beautiful potentialities.
This Barolo derives from the lower part of our Cerrati vines – a cru sold by Tenuta Cucco only – and it refines two years in 25 hl oak barreles. It pairs best with meat dishes, braised beef and game.
