The Wine Tour of Tenuta Cucco is a small journey in the shadow of a mysterious castle through vineyards, historic villages, and the secrets of a typical Langhe cellar.
The Wine Tour at Tenuta Cucco starts from Vigna Cucco: this is the source of the finest grapes, best suited for great wines that only improve with ageing. The vineyard is shown on the historic Barolo map of Renato Ratti, and is located inside the Menzione Geografica Aggiuntiva Cerrati, a cru offered on the market only by our company.
The vineyard’s special virtue lies in the height of the vines, planted at about 400 meters above sea level, in a position where limestone and tufa are found in maximum concentrations and on the ground surface, giving the grapes their distinctive abundance of tannins and polyphenols. From Vigna Cucco we can gaze at the eastern-most boundaries of the Barolo region, with its charming sequence of gentle slopes and historic towers.
The tour can continue, reaching the center of Serralunga d’Alba at a distance of a few hundred meters, with a visit to the church of San Sebastiano nel Borgo, now deconsecrated, which is part of the estate. In its present guise, it was built in the 1600s, and still contains frescos that have become the figures on the labels of Tenuta Cucco wines.
The Tenuta Cucco Wine Tour concludes at the cellar, in one of its most magical spaces: the Infernot from the 1800s, where the older vintages of our Barolo wines are stored, along with a collection of antique tools of cultivation and vinification.

Tenuta Cucco is in the medieval village, near the castle. The visit begins here and at our Cerrati cru, which extends at the entrance of the estate. At the end of the tour, a tasting of five wines: Chardonnay, Langhe Nebbiolo, Langhe Rosso, Barbera Superiore, and Barolo Serralunga d’Alba.

This wine tour starts from the cellar in the heart of Serralunga d’Alba. We offer you wines made only from the Nebbiolo grape, including our Barolo crus! Here they are: Langhe Nebbiolo, Barolo Serralunga d’Alba, Barolo Bricco Voghera, Barolo Cerrati, Barolo Cerrati Vigna Cucco Riserva (vintages subject to availability).
